Black Heroes Foundation

Project: Consultancy support to source funding for Arts programming

Run by Joyce Fraser OBE, Black Heroes Foundation is a community based charity delivering cultural and artistic initiatives to promote equality and diversity and to celebrate significant contributions to humanity by peoples of Africa and the African diaspora in the UK.  As an external fundraising consultant, I have worked with Joyce on several funding bids, successfully sourcing funding from Arts Council England and National Lottery Heritage Fund for the provision of creative arts workshops, gala performances and educational resources for schools.  We are now working on the milestone year of 2024 which will bring together the new writing and productions of recent years in a major new production in Black History Month and developing sustainability for the community programmes run by the Foundation in and around South London like the Virtual Soul Food Café.

Testimonial by Joyce Fraser (Founder & Chair)

“Claire is a pleasure to work with. She has provided professional, caring and effective support in funding applications to the Arts Council England, and The National Lottery Heritage Fund for the Black Heroes Foundation. I have no hesitation in recommending her services.”
